Notice is hereby given that Barton Aqueduct (situated on the Leigh Branch of the Bridgewater Canal) will be closed to navigation during the following period for annual maintenance.
Closing: Monday 7th March (0730 hrs)
Re-opening: Monday 21st March (1600 hrs)
Work to the Aqueduct is expected to be completed within the specified period of time. However, due to the nature of the work the Company cannot guarantee completion on the published date.
Further information concerning progress of the maintenance works can be obtained from the Company during the period of the closure.
The Company regrets any inconvenience that these necessary works may cause.
