Thank you for pledging your support for Bridgewater Way!

The Bridgewater Way would like to thank all those who pledged their support for the scheme to be short listed as part of the Big Lottery Fund Bid.

The Bridgewater Way scheme has now gone forward as part of Sustrans; the sustainable transport charity’s, larger bid entitled ‘Connect 2’, along with 78 other schemes that will all benefit if the Sustrans Connect 2 bid is successful.

Sustrans Connect 2 is one of the projects being considered to compete for a single multi-million pound grant from the Big Lottery Fund's Living Landmarks: The People's Millions competition.

If Connect 2 is successful, the Bridgewater Way will obtain the funding to improve the quality and number of access points to the Sale and Stretford areas of the Bridgewater Way as well as improving the surface of the towpath itself.
