Summer in the City Event
14th June – 13th July
Notice is hereby given that due to the “Summer in the City Event” in the
Arena area, mooring restrictions will be applied in the Staffordshire and Kenworthy
Arms in Castlefield from 14th June to 13th July 2017.
For event safety reasons the mooring of pleasure craft will be
prohibited from using the Staffordshire Arms during the period from Midnight Wednesday
evening 14th June 2017 until 6pm Thursday 13th July 2017.
In addition to the prohibition of mooring in the Staffordshire Arms,
restrictions will be applied along the canal bank between the Staffordshire and
Kenworthy Arms. (Plan attached)
Subject to availability, pleasure craft may moor at other locations
within Castlefield subject to local restrictions.
The Company apologises for any inconvenience caused to boat owners
wishing to use Castlefield.
that you vacate this section of towpath by midnight on Wednesday 14th
June 2017. Any craft remaining after this time may be removed from Castlefield
with the costs for removal and storage recharged to the craft owner.
The Bridgewater Canal is a 65km canal stretching from Runcorn to Leigh and is owned and operated by the Peel Group.
